Candidates Step Up - Avoid the Majors - These Ones Care

The following Aussie Election 2019 candidates responded favourably to an email from BRN asking their views on bank reform and other related issues.
 
These are the areas we wanted them to comment on - Do you support?

1). A properly bank funded remediation program for victims of bank crimes and misconduct. Proper funding does not have a cap.

2). Legislation that ensures bankers involved in crimes are stripped of their assets and face jail terms where appropriate.

3). The establishment of an Australian sovereign wealth fund.

4). The establishment of a national bank.

5). The gradual implementation of a Citizenship Dividend which will guarantee a useful job to every citizen.

6). Properly funded access to justice for all citizens involved in a legal dispute with a corporation or government.

PLEASE NOTE:

Many candidates on the AEC spreadsheet did not include their email addresses. We consider that in many of those cases they are not committed to representing you. Also we emailed as many minor party and independent candidates as possible. The ones listed above were generally onboard. Some wanted to research several points but they were all opposed to bank rip offs and the corruption that has allowed the fleecing of the country to proceed.

Many of these candidates wrote detailed responses which showed they understood the issues. In addition many were victims of finance system misconduct. We cannot be 100% certain about every candidate. BRN doesn’t have the vast resources the major parties do to carefully & professionally vet and select their candidates so you should check them out yourselves but we think they deserve your consideration.

Also  - some of these candidates may be in a party which has some policies you may not agree with. Morrison or Shorten will be Prime Minister - unpalatable and radical polices will not get through the House and Senate. We want the independents and minors to push for the above policies with the support of voters. The main parties will become even more irrelevant if they oppose the will of the people on bank reform and commonsense policies that will improve life for just about everyone. It’s not about parties it’s about policies and getting decent people in that will push for those policies. Waiting around hoping that in three years time you will finally get a party to do the right thing is rot. It doesn’t matter who puts the policies into place. Just get it done.

If a candidate you like is not listed it is possible they did not respond to our email. We couldn’t contact some single issue parties if their websites were not aligned with the above. This was a massive job and the there just wasn’t enough time considering how late the AEC finalised the list of candidates.

NOTE: the only major party candidates we contacted were the marginal LNP and ALP seat holders. Only one of them responded - an LNP candidate.
