BRN 2025 Election Analysis

Democracy has been corrupted in Australia. For years voters have been given the illusion of choice.

BRN is disappointed that too many do not appreciate that the "contest" between the major parties is more like a cleverly crafted charade. On many critical issues the major parties are in lockstep. So it makes no difference which party is in power - certain agendas and objectives just continue being progressed. It is like they are baked into government bureaucracy. Usually the “baked in” agendas are not even mentioned during election campaigns.

Every three years the rulers allow voters to choose who will manage their Australian livestock and other resources ... and every three years citizens hear the same mouldy old promises.

It has become obvious that the major parties in most Western “democracies” are serving a foreign global agenda. This - in large part - explains why there is a cost-of-living crisis in Australia – amongst the richest countries in the world!

At the same time people's freedoms and rights are being limited. Mainly, the rulers want to clamp down on free speech and protest. When the situation finally becomes so dire that even rusted-on party supporters realise they have been done over, and their country is no longer recognisable they won't even be able to complain let alone protest. They will be sitting in their allocated shoebox in the sky hoping that they will have enough electricity to heat the soup.

The major parties are: giving away Australian resources; silencing critics with attacks on core rights; sabotaging the property market with policies specifically designed to create a property bubble – forever pricing the bulk of young people out of the market; piling high the debt burden that people’s grandchildren will be saddled with; and of course, the waste and corruption that just gets worse year after year.

Once again at elections 2025 we advocated voting to support good Minor Party and Independent candidates. We even went further this year by advocating for a protest vote from voters in the seats occupied by Albanese [Grayndler - NSW], Dutton [Dickson – Qld], Bandt [Melbourne – Vic]). It panned out that we saw two out of three of these "leaders" removed by the discerning voters of their electorates. A very good result.

With a terrible cost of living crisis - including difficult to find affordable accommodation it should have been unthinkable for the ALP to win let alone improve their position. It was only possible because the LNP were a pathetic opposition with absolutely no hope to offer. The LNP deserved the result they got. As did the Greens.

As we are very even handed, we once again point out that it was the LNP that initiated the inflation crisis with their incompetent spending during the COVID years. The troubles have been brought to Australia by the Uniparty - they do not work in the interests of Australia and Australians.

Politicians just tinker around the edges pretending to be doing something of use for the country. Deep corruption between government and corporate interests hinders policy development that would increase the country's Sovereignty and standard of living.

We would like to see opponents of the two-party system put any differences aside and join to help save Australia. Working together is the only way we can defeat the forces that have corrupted our democracy while working against Australia's interests. The country will find it extremely difficult to survive another term of the two-party dictatorship.

We must overcome the mainstream media's choke hold on the dis-empowering narrative about the parliamentary farm ...... two parties good ....... more parties bad.

The ALP has no mandate of import. They presented very little in the way of policies to really assist the nation improve its position. The theft of our resources will continue. The cost of food, energy, insurance, and housing will remain high - likely to worsen significantly.

In addition, businesses will continue to fail. Productivity will remain low. Young people's hope of building a family and owning a home ..... even of starting their own business will dim. With no tangible stake in the country, they will be put in the position of voting for a living. It always seems to become a choice of which lying politician promises to make me happier and wealthier. "Oh, look the nice pollie is going to pay for a footy field in my small town ..... honey ... it's such a pity we can't afford to live here anymore."

The government will reach a limit to how many people it can employ ..... how many subsidies it can pay .... how many voters it can import - all to make the figures look brighter.

GDP may trickle higher with all this manipulation and fudging of data, but people will continue to see their real standard of living going backwards. This is not only due to incompetence. It is deliberate sabotage of Western democracies. This is clear just by looking to other nations including Europe, the UK & USA, Canada and New Zealand. It makes little difference if the country has a "left" or "right" government. The agenda has been patiently and gradually embedded into all the key institutions - government / bureaucracy, education, media, law. Australians are witnessing the controlled demolition of their country and their freedom.

Liberal Party On Life Support

People need to take mainstream media (MSM) reporting with several grains of salt. 2025 has seen the highest ever vote for non-major parties. This trend will continue. There was no "landslide" toward the ALP. Just look at the primary votes: ALP 34.56% LNP 31.82% Non-major Party 33.62%. This was the biggest vote ever against the major parties. There was less than a 2% primary vote swing toward Albanese's ALP. It is also worth noting that 14.92% of eligible voters did not cast a valid vote. The ALP still only managed to get one of its worst primary votes ever.

MSM and other various activists of the "left" say the LNP went too far to the "right." This is manipulative misinformation from people wanting to shift the country away from values of personal freedom. They prefer “left of centre” parties implementing leftist policies as well as “right of centre” parties implementing leftist policies.

Right now it looks like Liberal Party of Australia will be in the political wilderness for many years - at least two terms. The problem the Liberal Party has is not just due to their pathetic performance during the election campaign. They were a terrible opposition for three years. They reinforced the accurate perception that they were Labor-lite .... part of the Uni-Party. They supported the gradual push toward a Cashless Authoritarian Surveillance State. They didn't stand up to protect core freedoms and rights. They were a policy free zone - no policy development at all. A wasted three years. The LNP did not deserve to win. Equally - the ALP didn't deserve to win. With an effective opposition the ALP would have been in exactly the same position as the LNP is today. Albanese would be wise to remember this. A government that presides over living standards going backwards along with a self-inflicted housing crisis would expect to be thrashed at the ballot box.

The LNP must break away from the Uniparty partnership they have with the ALP.

The National Party had made the wise decision to distance itself from the Liberal Party. This was a principled move. Everyone knew at some point before election 2028 they would reunite. There was a risk that the longer they were separated the harder it would be to reform an effective coalition. They appeared to be willing to forgo the pay & perks of high opposition to make a point and take a stand. They seem to want to push policies that genuinely may help the country and its people. Unfortunately their four key policy areas of interest are not that critical or inspiring to most voters.

After their very short separation the Libs and Nats have nothing to lose and everything to gain if they go to the 2028 election with some significant policies. To save the nation from the destructive policies of recent decades either a third party is formed to oppose the elite push for technologically updated form of serfdom where people have limited freedom and power over their own lives ... or the Libs and Nats do the work to establish a policy framework based on a rock-solid philosophy. They must be able to articulate why the country will be better off under their leadership. Once this is done, they could re-group and be an effective force at the 2028 election. This is highly unlikely to happen. However, with goodwill and help from motivated people anything is possible. Governments with massive majorities have been reduced to rubble after just one term if they perform poorly – provided there is an effective opposition.

Here’s the big problem

If the LNP truly believe that a smaller, more efficient, and less intrusive government is better for the country they need to explain why before it is too late. The ALP is rapidly setting the scene for a one party state. They are importing voters with an unsustainable immigration rate. They are making it very hard for people to earn enough to look after their needs. They are putting more and more people onto the government payroll. This includes a larger than really needed political class – both politicians and bureaucrats. High paying jobs in cabinet are a great reward for loyal mates. Also of concern is the cost of programs that are being exploited by service providers and users. The NDIS is one example. The program was supposed to support people who have significant disabilities that prevented them looking after themselves. Now it is has become an unsustainable cost where providers charge far more for a service than they would for a non NDIS client. It is similar to how corporations that supply military programs will charge items at many times the normal price just because government money is being used to pay for it.

If a large enough number of people are only surviving thanks to working for the government or by receiving various subsidies or other government payments they will always vote for “big government.”

It is very difficult for an opposition party to compete against a government that promises massive spending programs in order to buy votes. There is a very hard to resist pressure to match or surpass the outlandish promises.

It is still possible to have quality infrastructure and services in a wealthy country without excessive debt and taxes but not with business as usual policies that are designed to lock in a corrupt political order that is not really interested in genuinely serving the country’s interests.

Have they got what it takes?

Are the Libs and Nats serious about significant reforms that will really help lower housing and energy costs? It will be easy to find out. All people need to see is the LNP proposing, explaining, and pushing the following three policies. They have three years to show the way. If they are rejected at the next election they should hold firm. There is no doubt that people will swing around when poorly implemented ALP policies continue to worsen the cost of living  - in particular making housing and energy even more unaffordable.

Let’s see them start with these policies

1. A National Australia Post Savings Bank. This would guarantee core banking services nationwide. We need the reintroduction of modern Glass-Steagall-type regulation and the removal of private banks' ability to issue credit. Instead, private Australian banks should be required to borrow from the RBA so they have a real liability. The private banking cartel’s ability to siphon off the country’s wealth via a corrupted debt-based system must be stopped. They want people in debt, their children in debt and their country in debt ... forever!

2. Cheap and abundant energy is critical to live in civilised, prosperous freedom. Misguided “Net Zero” policies are destructive to Australia. Every nation needs to work out the best way to manage their energy and CO2 issues. Luckily Australia has a unique way because we are energy rich with a low population. Australia's use of fossil fuels contributes virtually nothing to worldwide CO2 emissions. The current "renewables" push has been extremely expensive making electricity and gas unaffordable to many. In addition, the resources involved in solar panels and windmills are not creating energy in a very efficient or environmentally friendly manner. It really appears that Australia's best path forward is to use its own coal, gas, and oil with the most efficient and modern technologies available. With many hundreds of years of supply this gives us 50, 100, 150 years to develop other energy production systems possibly even some advanced form of nuclear power. There is no need to rush. No need to destroy important farmland or coastal habitats - and no need to strangle the economy. No need to put farmers out of business.

Imagine - policies have been put in place that sabotages our country’s ability to feed itself with good quality fresh produce. It is madness! It’s bordering on criminal. In fact, perhaps genuine Aussie farmers should be able to operate in a tax exempt environment – income, corporate, and land. Then we will see what our farms can achieve. Government should get off their backs. Australia could set an example to the world. European farmers too are under attack. Can the Nats handle pushing real reforms onto their coalition colleagues?

Other countries can work out their own systems that work for their people to manage CO2 and energy.

Government subsidies for any energy proposals should not be necessary. In addition, the LNP must be very firm about stopping corporations from polluting the air, soil, and water as part of often destructive “business as usual” practices. This would be a great way for the LNP to demonstrate their practical and sensible environmental credentials to the voters they have alienated. A wealthy country can afford to look after its environment as well as pay a higher price for goods and services produced cleanly.

3. Political Donation and Advertising Reform plus Zero Tolerance of Corruption. This is essential to stop corporate influence on political parties. The only way parties can achieve the above two tests of their commitment improving life for Australians is to stop their dependence on donations with strings attached.

Self-interest usually trumps all else. So, if LNP politicians want to be in government with all the perks Aussies generously pay them (to represent THEIR interests) this could really be the party's best bet.

Of course, there are risks and hidden dangers. Any party that supports the Australian people’s interests and Sovereignty will attract strong opposition from powerful vested interests. We need politicians with integrity and guts to really assist Australia and its untapped potential come to fruition.
